Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Logistics Procurement Specialist to lead our procurement activities in the Bor region. This role is pivotal in managing our vendor relationships, optimizing procurement costs, and ensuring that our supply chain remains resilient against local and international disruptions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and negotiation to contract management and final delivery oversight. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans to optimize the procurement of logistics services and equipment.
- Negotiate complex contracts with local and international vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
- Manage and evaluate vendor performance to ensure compliance with international logistics standards.
- Oversee inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Mitigate supply chain risks by identifying potential bottlenecks and developing contingency plans.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with local South Sudanese regulations and international trade laws.
- Collaborate with the finance department to manage procurement budgets and ensure timely payments to vendors.
Required Skills
- Advanced negotiation and contract management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of international shipping, customs, and freight forwarding processes.
- Proficiency in ERP software and advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory. Professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is highly preferred and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must possess a minimum of 5 to 7 years of professional experience in procurement or logistics management, preferably within a multinational corporation. Proven experience working in East Africa or similar emerging markets is essential for success in this role. You should have a track record of managing large-scale procurement budgets and leading diverse teams.
Salary
The monthly salary for this position ranges from 1,200,000 SSP to 1,800,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. This package is designed to attract high-caliber professionals looking for stable employment in South Sudan.
