Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Agronomy Research and Development Specialist to join our team in Torit, South Sudan. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research on agronomy and crop improvement, developing and implementing crop production technologies, and collaborating with farmers and other stakeholders.

  • Conduct research on agronomy and crop improvement
  • Develop and implement crop production technologies
  • Collaborate with farmers and other stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on agronomy and crop improvement, including crop selection, soil management, and water conservation
  • Develop and implement crop production technologies, including crop management practices and post-harvest handling
  • Collaborate with farmers, extension agents, and other stakeholders to promote the adoption of new technologies
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in agronomy research and development
  • Strong knowledge of crop production technologies and agronomy practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education

Candidate must have a Master’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, or related field.

Experience

Candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in agronomy research and development.

Salary

The salary range for this position is 50,000 – 80,000 SSP per month.
