Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Ecotourism Development Manager to lead our efforts in Juba, South Sudan. This role involves developing and implementing ecotourism strategies that promote sustainable tourism practices, support local communities, and contribute to the conservation of natural resources. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ecotourism strategies and plans that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Conduct market research and analyze tourism trends to identify opportunities for ecotourism development.
- Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and stakeholders to promote sustainable tourism practices.
- Manage and supervise a team of ecotourism professionals to ensure effective implementation of ecotourism projects.
- Develop and manage budgets, reports, and other documents related to ecotourism projects.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of sustainable tourism practices and ecotourism development.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- Ability to work with local communities and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Experience
At least 5 years of experience in ecotourism development, tourism management, or a related field.
Salary
The salary range for this position is 50,000 – 80,000 SSP per month.
