Job Overview

This position is designed to develop and implement strategies that promote cultural tourism in South Sudan. The officer will work closely with local communities, cultural institutions, and tourism stakeholders to create sustainable tourism initiatives that celebrate South Sudan’s heritage while driving economic growth. The role requires a blend of project management, cultural sensitivity, and tourism development expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute cultural tourism development plans aligned with national heritage preservation goals.
• Collaborate with local communities to identify and promote cultural assets, including traditional festivals, historical sites, and artisanal crafts.
• Develop marketing and outreach strategies to attract domestic and international tourists.
• Coordinate with government agencies and NGOs to ensure compliance with cultural preservation regulations.
• Monitor and evaluate tourism projects for impact on local economies and cultural sustainability.

Required Skills

• Proven experience in tourism development or cultural heritage management.
• Strong project management and cross-cultural communication skills.

Education

Salary
