Job Overview
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Manager will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of CSR strategies that align with the World Bank’s mission and the development priorities of South Sudan. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders, government agencies, NGOs, and community groups to ensure that projects deliver social, economic, and environmental benefits. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive CSR strategy that supports the World Bank’s development agenda in South Sudan.
- Coordinate with project teams to embed social and environmental safeguards into project design and implementation.
- Engage with local communities, NGOs, and government bodies to identify needs, gather feedback, and ensure inclusive participation.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on CSR outcomes, using data-driven metrics to demonstrate impact and inform continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present CSR reports for internal leadership, donors, and external partners, highlighting success stories and lessons learned.
- Manage CSR budgets, ensuring transparent and efficient allocation of resources.
- Lead capacity‑building workshops for staff and partners on sustainability best practices.
- Stay abreast of global CSR trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging sustainability standards relevant to South Sudan.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of CSR, sustainability, and social impact measurement frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic or local languages is an advantage.
- Proven ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams and coordinate cross‑functional initiatives.
- Analytical mindset with experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Project management expertise, including budgeting and timeline management.
- Adaptability to work in challenging environments and cultural sensitivity.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, International Development, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or professional certification in CSR, Sustainability, or Project Management is highly desirable.
Experience
Minimum of five years of professional experience in corporate social responsibility, sustainability, community development, or a related discipline, preferably within an international development or multinational organization.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of 2,500,000 to 4,000,000 South Sudanese Pounds (SSP) per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with performance‑based incentives.
